The organization, the history and the accomplishments of an institution make up its visible and immanent being, but this latter is constantly moved by a deep reality, which we call the soul of the company. The soul is the motion force that inspires and defines us as exactly what we are. It is what distinguishes us from other similar companies, something that identifies us and assures our continuity. The name we have given to our company corresponds to our peculiarity. Campus Trekking shares lot of similar aspects with other companies, but also we have many which make us just peculiar.
THE OWNERS:
Campus Trekking is an Ecuadorian - Dutch company, owned and operated by Camilo Andrade and Marjolein Rientjes.
EXPERIENCE:
The seeds of Campus Trekking date back to 1986, in a time where adventure tourism was making the first steps in Ecuador. We were one of the first pioneers in the area and have developed stable and significant relationships in and outside of the country. We have also formed and enthusiastic Campus team, which in a long-term relationship has learned to reflect an image of professionalism and reliability
RELIABILITY:
As far as reliability is concerned, since many years we have become the local partner of world wide known adventure travel companies, from Europe, USA and Australia.

EXCLUSIVITY:
We are a small company and we want to remain small if possible. Being small we can have things under control and give personal service to our clients and this makes our job interesting. We strive that people feel at home and comfortable when travelling with Campus Trekking. Having things under control, means there is always time and care for details.
MULTILINGUAL SERVICE:
We do not want to boast - indeed we dislike boasting but it is a fact that we can speak and communicate with our clients and friends in nine different languages: English, German, French, Dutch, Danish, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Quichua
TRAINING:
Each
year we make investments in ensuring that our guides and staff are capable
of not only treating our clients as partners, but also providing the finest
service. For that purpose, we organize refresher courses on hygiene, first
aid, foreign languages, cultural aspects, specific rules for our guides,
international cuisine and preparation of special dietary requests. Our
cooks have received special training and international cultural exchange
during a course arranged for trekking professionals in Peru.
INFRASTRUCTURE:
Experience has taugth us to acquire first class equipment suited for the enthusiast traveller. Robust and spacious tents, mountain equipment, camping gear all carefully selected and imported from Europe. We have our own fleet of jeeps and buses, ready to run on the toughest terrain.
CUSTOMER SECURITY:
This is a matter of common sense. On all trips your car is equipped with a tool kit. Your guide carries a comprehensive medical kit, a mobile phone, which guarantee first hand assistance in case of car failure or health problems. A 24-hour back up service in the office makes it possible to give immediate assistance in case of severe problems.
NATURE AND CULTURAL CONSERVATION SCHEMES:
The love and concern for nature is for us not just fashionable. The success of tourism in Ecuador depends substantially upon the gift of Ecuadorīs unique natural habitat and we realize that it is of great significance that we play a key role in ensuring that all those things which we enjoy so much nowadays are still there for those who should come after us.We are conscious of the damage to our wild life, ecosystems, as well as to our cultural heritage. In this respect, Campus Trekking offers help to several conservation projects. We firmly believe that the vast majority of our clients will appreciate our attitude and support our efforts.
